Evita & Scott contacted me earlier this year and we set a date for their session in Hallstatt, this gorgeous town right next to a lake somewhere in the Austrian Alps. We set the date for October 3rd and hoped for nice weather. However, it was far from nice. It was a dark, foggy, coldish day and it poured down with rain. But they came all the way from China and we had to shoot that day. So I wore two rain coats, put some plastic bags on my two cameras and we had this cute see through umbrella. Three hours passed just like that, and before we knew it, the street lights switched on scheduled for the evening. Evita was so brave – wearing no jacket and even changing dresses.
When I arrived home and checked the photos, I immediately loved them. Their dark and moody feel wouldn’t be possible without the rain. So it was all worth it!
