Villa Sheherezade Wedding Dubrovnik
A historical building surrounded by gardens, with the best view in Dubrovnik.
Villa Shererezade, the Mediterranean Taj Mahal
In the early last century, a very rich man had a mistress – a woman from the Orient. He loved her so much that he brought an architect named Keller from Vienna to Dubrovnik. Keller was left with a load of money and two years time to build an oriental villa for his oriental lady – her name was Sheherezade. They also call it the Mediterranean Taj Mahal. Keller made a unique structure in this area. There’s nothing like it in Croatia. Even today stands out from all the traditional stone buildings all over Croatia and Dubrovnik. In the 60ties, the villa was a residence for celebrities like Elisabeth Taylor & Richard Burton.
